Do you all take pills or stick to liquids? I really don't ever have a need to take a pill so this hasn't been an issue yet.
I have this little hair loss thing going on so I thought that I would go pick up the Biotin that everyone is recommending. Is this in a pill form? I am so afraid that the pills will get stuck. Is everyone doing pills ok?

Hiya Tracy
ReplyDeleteI take pills no problem!
But I think they have a liquid for of B-vitamins as well! So what ever you feel comfortable with!
I take pills and seldom have an issue. If it does get stuck, however, it is really gross because you taste the pill when you slime or PB.
ReplyDeleteI was just about to post the same thing. I am afraid to take it. Usually will open and put in applesauce. But not a great everyday solution.
ReplyDeleteI found a 7500mcg one at the grocery and the pill is the size of an aspirin. I don't have trouble with that size but choose liquids for antibiotics as they are large!
ReplyDeleteI have zero problems with pills. They had me take an Ambien pill when I was still in the hospital the day I was banded. I take a pretty large vitamin and calcium pill, as well as Ambien and birth control pill every day.
ReplyDeleteI haven't had any issues with pills. I do take a multivitamin pill everyday along with prescription pills, and it's fine. I do however top up with some liquid B vitamins (called Berocca here). :)
ReplyDeleteMy surgeon was very adament about not swallowing pills so I've been pretty compliant. While I think I might be able to swallow them, I'd sure hate to have to go to him, hat in hand, and admit I was having issues because I swallowed a pill that he advised me not to. I do take my very small blood pressure pill but I take liquid Tylenol and crush my very (very, very, very) nasty, huge anti-virals that I take periodically. I just crush them. toss them in my mouth, then chase them with iced tea.
ReplyDeleteNo problem with pills here, if they are big ones, just take it slow and use as little water as possible. If they are small, then no problem what so ever.
ReplyDeleteBut as we are all different, do what I did the first couple of times. Just take it slow and avoid eating and drinking for a little while after taking it until you know how you handle them :o)
I have no problem taking pills. At least up to the size of Vicodin.
ReplyDeleteI have 13 RX's that I take every day. So as long as it isn't too big, I have no problem.
I also take Biotin 600 mg that I get from GNC stores. It is smaller than the tip of my pinkie finger, and I have rather small pinkies!
Also, for the hair loss, I used Nioxin Shampoo and Conditioner. It really seemed to help me! But luckily, the hair loss seemed to stop around the 6-8 month period of time.
